SMU scored singles goals in each half the first by Kendra Maloney and the second by Amy Cory as the Cardinals shut out St. Olaf 2-0 in their regular-season meeting a year ago. … The Cardinals got a pair of first-half goals from Keirra Metcalfe and battled St. Thomas to a 2-2 deadlock Saturday afternoon. … St. Olaf, meanwhile, had their four-game unbeaten streak (3-0-1) snapped with a 3-0 nonconference loss at Luther on Sunday.

Saturday's 2-2 tie vs. St. Thomas was the third time in their last four games that SMU has gone into OT. The other two were a 1-1 tie vs. Macalester and a 2-1 win vs. Gustavus. … Keirra Metcalfe (Pickering, Ontario) posted her first career two-goal game, accounting for both SMU goals vs. the Tommies. … With her two goals, Metcalfe now leads the team with 16 points. The SMU freshman also boasts a team-best six assists. … Lisa Tlougan (Rochester, Minn.) and Melisa Entinger (Mound, Minn.) share the team lead with seven goals each. … Tlougan ranks third in the MIAC in goals (3), points (6) and points-per-game (1.20). … SMU's tie vs. UST marked the first time this year that the Cardinals have not won when scoring two or more goals. … All four goals scored in the SMU-St. Thomas game were scored in the first half. … The Cardinals have now scored 41 goals, the most by an SMU team since the 1998 season. … SMU's 115 points are also the most since 1998, when the Cardinals scored 41 goals and boasted 124 points.

Kelsey Watt broke the school record for career goals when she netted the the game-winning tally in St. Olaf’s 2-0 win over St. Catherine last Saturday. Watt's goal, the 33rd of her career, came on a penalty kick. She replaces Carolyn Detjen '03 for first all-time. … Prior to Sunday’s loss vs. Luther, the Oles had outscored their opponents 6-2 during their four-game unbeaten streak. … The three goals given up against Luther were a season high for St. Olaf. … The Oles have not scored a goal in any of their four losses this season (1-0 vs. Augsburg, 1-0 vs. Saint Benedict, 2-0 vs. Concordia and 3-0 vs. Luther). … After opening the season with a 5-0 win vs. Martin Luther, St. Olaf has not scored more than two goals in any of their last 11 games. … Katie Bierlein is the Oles’ offensive leader, scoring five goals. … Bierlein also leads the team with 11 points, while Christina Mills boasts a team-best four assists. … Anna Felgum has played every minute of every game in goal for the Oles, posting a 0.89 goals-against average and an .836 save percentage. …
