GO!! WOW!! Its all over. After 14 odd years of playing the game, its all over. Soccer has been a huge part of my life and through it, I have met some really crazy people. Teammates, you guys mean the world to me.
First and for most I most thank MA and PA dukes. Heidi, I want to thank you for being my biggest supporter in soccer over the years. We have been through a lot together, going back to U-10s with Missy and Rob. You helped out any way possible seeing on how you could never coach, you would always be the team manager and its funny how, if I run into girls that I had played with, they always ask about you. Thank you for everything. There are no words that will truly capture my gratitude. Dad-tee, I know that soccer is not the most fun game to watch for you, but thank you for always coming out and supporting me. Hockey was the game you really enjoyed watching me play, and I always knew that you would make it to the game no matter what. Not only did you make it there, but you kept my stats, so I wouldnt get screwed by good old Tim. Thank you both for letting me be me and keeping me in sports. Sports have been a huge part of my life and they have taught me a lot over the years.
For all you senior girls, I love you man. I cant believe its over. We all know that we have hit some rough spots over the years but through it all I can say weve manage to become friends. After I left my freshman year and came back, you welcomed me back with open arms.
Kim, What can I say. Our friendship started back in Benilde (BNasty) when we bonded over some hot apple cider before the guys last home game you know the one. The past two years have been good ones and I am really glad that we got over the fact that we both dont always see eye to eye on things.
Erica, Ill never forget the sound of your knee ripping, even though your game is my favorite. It was good to see that you recovered and got to come back this year.
Steph, I will always remember Skemp freshman year and I still have that lovely poem that you put on my door. You know, the one that has my favorite "F" word in it. If you dont know the word I am talking about, I am sure the trainers could help you out because they know best how much I love that word.
Court, where do I start? You are a great girl. I am so glad that we got to be captains together. Our trip to Chicago was the best, and I hate to say it, but I miss the Geneva! I am sorry that I will have to depart at the end of the year, but dont worry, Ill still be around.
Well, now that I got them out of the way. Girls, I am really going to miss you guys. Returners, dont take coach for granted! We all know what its like to struggle, so remember coach always has the best intentions in mind. Mandy, make sure to tell your mom hi for me, and to bring it! I would love to say that I want to go on another road trip with you, but Im not going to lie that would just be too much for me. Sudds, Bar Buddy (seeing on how Kim always ditches out on me), I am sorry you always strike out! If you want some tips and how to hit a home run, just let me know. I got a few tricks up my sleeve.
Sophomores, I love you guys our trip to England rocked!! I really learned a lot about you guys there and I think the English men did too. Maria, thanks for always buying me food at the pub and always asking the best questions. K2, thanks for doing such a good job at representing Kellis with an i. Kim, please, once before I leave here, paint your nails with real pink nail polish. Johnson, I am mad that I didnt get to play with you longer. Your presence in goal is amazing.
Freshmen, you guys are my little girls. Kirk, it scares me how much you remind me of myself, and Abigail, if you ever need a mom huge, just come find me. I am always good for it and that goes for the rest of you, too. Kendra, hit the ball on target for god sakes! As for the rest of you fresh, I hope you enjoy your shirts and whenever you wear them, you think of me.
Well thats it Champe O nay Champe O nay o lay O lay O lay.
