Where have these fours years gone? It seems like just yesterday I was a scared and quiet freshman coming and joining the SMU soccer team. Looking back today, I cant believe I was scared at all, because all the girls made me feel welcome and proud to be an SMU Cardinal soccer player.
First and foremost, I would like to thank my parents for making as many games as they could. I knew it was hard for them to make the trip down, since they were so busy all the time. So thanks for all the support you gave me on and off the field. Next, I would like to thank the coaches for making one of my dreams come true playing on a college team. I would like to thank Coach Blank for working with me and helping me to improve in my game. I want to thank Jeff for never giving up on me and for pushing me to do better. I want to thank Dave for always being there and helping me stay positive through my four years. I also want to thank Kevin and Lisa for putting up with me everyday in the training room all four years. Last, but certainly not least, I want to thank all past and present teammates without you guys, the best part of my SMU career wouldnt exist. All you girls are the greatest, you will always have a special place in my heart and I will never forget any of you.
Practices, home games, road trips, dinners, food fights, Milwaukee, Chicago, fun times on and off the field, I will never forget any of it. It has been a wild ride and Im sad to see it over.
Steph, Kelli, Kim, Erica, the throne is passed to you guys, make the most of it next year, the season flies by. Sudds, Courtney, Mandy, keep working hard, good things will come. Becky, Martha, Maria, Diane, Alli, Kelli, Kim, Sarah, Nicole, you all came into this season with open minds and a goal to work hard and improve. I see so much improvement in all you ladies from the beginning of the year to now. Keep working hard and kick some BUTT.
You didnt think I would forget my fellow seniors now did you? Weve been together for four years and I wouldnt pick any other seniors to share my college soccer career with. Weve been through a lot. Goodie, no matter what the situation is, you can always make me laugh. Beth, you and your witty remarks, Ill never forget some of the things you said. DT, even though you pick on me, I know youre doing it out of love, thats why I dont care that you do it. Thanks for always being there. Emily, Ive seen so much improvement in you since your freshman you. You are a great goalie and a great friend. Laurel, what can I say about you? You are just Laurel. You are a fun person to be around and you always have something to say about any situation. Ill miss you lots. Heidi (a.k.a. my neighbor) you joined our team our junior year and Im so happy that you did. You brought a lot to the team. Thanks for being an awesome friend. You all are so much fun to be with and I wish you all the best of luck in your careers and in life. I know good things will come to each of you.
I love all you girls, Ill miss you all, and I will never forget any of you.
