The Cardinals and Foresters have not met since the 2004-2005 season, when Lake Forest held SMU to just one goal — a third-period, Game 2 tally by Rachel Harrison (Madison, Wis.) — in sweeping past Saint Mary's 3-0 and 2-1. … The Cardinals have been off since Dec. 8-9, when SMU dropped a pair of MIAC games to league-leading and third-ranked Gustavus. SMU was shut out 4-0 in the opener, then fell 5-1 in the rematch. … Lake Forest is also coming off a long layoff, having not played since falling to seventh-ranked UW-Stevens Point 4-2 on Dec. 5.
