Last Action: The Cardinals managed to score just one goal in losing both games against Lake Forest last weekend, falling 3-0 and 2-1.
St. Catherine, meanwhile, dropped its second straight, losing to UW-Eau Claire 9-1 last Friday.

A Year Ago: The Cardinals outscored St. Catherine 12-2 in sweeping their MIAC series. SMU got a pair of goals from Melissa Mondo and a 28-save effort from Nikki Jung in a 5-0 Game 1 win on Dec. 5, 2003, then following that up with a 7-2 victory on Dec. 6, 2004. Jenny Hocum scored two goals in the second game.

Rachel Harrison (Madison, Wis.) scored SMU's lone goal in the Cardinals' weekend series vs. Lake Forest, netting an unassisted powerplay goal in the third period of Saturday's 2-1 loss.
Friday's shutout loss was the first time the Cardinals have been held scoreless since a 3-0 setback at Gustavus on Feb. 7, 2004.
Friday's loss snapped SMU's season-opening two-game winning streak.
SMU is now 4-4-2 all-time vs. Lake Forest.
Nikki Jung (Inver Grove Heights, Minn.) stopped 26 Forester shots in Friday's loss, while Amanda Gage (Lino Lakes, Minn.) finished with 30 saves in Saturday's rematch.
Melissa Mondo (Vadnais Heights, Minn.), who missed both games vs. Lake Forest with an ankle injury, remains the team-leader in goals (5) and points (5), while Rebecca Jelenc (Sheboygan, Wis.) has the team lead in assists with three.
St. Catherine has been outscored 15-3 in its two games this season.
The Wildcats have lost two straight this season, and 11 in a row, dating back to a 4-2 win over St. Benedict on Jan. 24 of last season.
