Gustavus, meanwhile, ran its winning streak to four in a row with a 4-2, 8-1 sweep of St. Olaf last weekend.

A Year Ago: Gustavus held SMU to just one goal in sweeping the two-game MIAC series. The Gusties scored three first-period goals en route to a 4-1 win on Feb. 6, 2004, then completed the sweep with a 3-0 shutout win in which GAC held the Cardinals to just eight shots on goal.

Melissa Mondo (Vadnais Heights, Minn.) scored her team-leading sixth goal of the season vs,. Hamline, while Jenn Shire (Anaheim Hills, Calif.) dished out her team-best sixth assist.
Friday's win vs. Hamline snapped the Cardinals' three-game losing streak.
SMU has now won two straight for the first time since opening the season with back-to-back wins vs. Finlandia.
Gustavus has outscored its MIAC opponents 49-4 in eight games.
The Gusties opened the season with an eight-game unbeaten streak, during which GAC outscored its opponents 40-3.
