Last Action: The Cardinals split their nonconference games last weekend, beating UW-Eau Claire 3-0 Saturday, then falling 8-1 to UW-River Falls 8-1 on Sunday.
Bethel, meanwhile, dropped a pair of exhibition games to Robert Morris (Ill.), falling 4-1 and 6-3 last weekend.

A Year Ago: The Caridnals posted a pair of shutout wins over the Royals, getting two goals from Emily Kearns and a 26-save effort from Nikki Jung in a 3-0 win on Feb. 11, 2004, then completing the sweep behind one-goal, three-assist performances from Kearns and Melissa Mondo in a 5-0 win on Feb. 13, 2004.

Nikki Jung (Inver Grove Heights, Minn.) stopped all 31 shots she faced in shuting out UW-Eau Claire on Friday. It was her third shutout of the season.
Val Rodriguez (Woodbury, Minn.) and Madeline Loftus (Parsippany, N.J.) each scored their first goals as Cardinals in Saturday's 3-0 win over UW-Eau Claire.
Loftus also scored SMU's lone goal in Sunday's loss to UW-River Falls.
SMU's eight goals against in Sunday's 8-1 loss vs. UW-River Falls were the most allowed since Dec. 13, 1998, when the Cardinals were beaten by Gustavus 9-0.
Three of SMU's four goals last weekend were on the powerplay.
With her shutout performance on Saturday, Jung lowered her goals-against-average to 2.71 and improved her save percentage to .920.
Melissa Mondo (Vadnais Heights, Minn.) leads team in goals (6) and points (10), while Jenn Shire (Anaheim Hills, Calif.) has a team-leading six assists.
