WINONA, Minn. — Saint Mary's University senior Emily Kearns (Hopkins, Minn.) was named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week, it was announced Monday.

Kearns scored three goals and added a pair of assists in the Cardinals' 5-2 win over Augsburg on Friday.
The SMU senior, who leads the team in all three offensive categories with 14 goals, 13 assists and 27 points, not only recorded her first hat trick of the season, but also assisted on SMU's two other goals in the game.
Kearns' five-point night was one short of the all-time single-game record of six she currently shares with teammate Tennie McCabe (Rochester, Minn.).
Kearns had her season-high point-scoring streak snapped at nine in the Cardinals' 2-1 loss to the Auggies on Saturday in the second game of the two-game series.
