Cardinals' Missie Meemken is
named MIAC Player of the Week

WINONA, Minn. — Saint Mary's University's Missie Meemken (St. Cloud, Minn.) was named MIAC Player of the Week, it was announced Monday.

Meemken stopped 76 of the 81 shots she faced in helping Saint Mary's to a sweep of its regular season-ending series with league-champion St. Thomas.

Meemken, a two-time All-American, kicked aside 39 shots in Friday's 3-2 win, then added a 37-save performance as SMU completed the sweep with a 4-3 overtime win on Saturday.

Along with her 2.44 goals-against-average in the two-game series, Meemken also posted a stellar .938 save percentage.
