St. Catherine swept SMU in the teams' two MIAC meetings a year ago, winning 64-47 on the Cardinals' home floor, then completing the sweep with a 61-54 triumph. … The Cardinals turned the ball over a season-high 37 times as Gustavus cruised to a 74-43 win over SMU Saturday. … St. Catherine, meanwhile, lost a heartbreaker on Saturday as Carleton’s Amber Connor drained a 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift the Knights to a 66-65 win over the Wildcats.
