Wednesday’s loss to Macalester was the Cardinals’ second straight and fourth in their last five games. … SMU managed just 14 points in the first half against the Scots, marking the second-lowest output in a half and the eighth time this season that the Cardinals have scored 20 or few points in a half. … SMU has held its opponents to 65 points or less in each of their last seven games going 2-5. … The Cardinals have been held to 56 points or less in all 11 of their losses. … Jessica Weisbrod (Rollingstone, Minn.) netted a team-best 13 points vs. Macalester. It was the third straight game in which the SMU junior led the Cardinals in scoring, and the ninth time in SMU’s 17 games that she was the team’s leading scorer. … Weisbrod’s 13 points also marked the fourth straight game in which she has scored in double figures, and the eighth time in SMU’s last nine games. … After narrowly missing double-doubles in two of her last three games, Weisbrod who pulled down 10 rebounds and scored nine points vs. Bethel, then scored 14 points and added nine rebounds vs. St. Thomas notched double-double No. 3 on the season Monday, netting 14 points and adding 11 rebounds.
