The Cardinals won both games vs. the Royals a year ago but it wasn't easy. SMU picked up a 75-73 OT win over Bethel at home on Jan. 2, then completed the sweep its second two-point win, a 64-62 decision on Feb. 1. … The Cardinals got a second straight double-double from Jessica Weisbrod and snapped a season-high five-game losing streak with a convincing 73-59 win over Augsburg on Saturday. … Bethel, meanwhile, got 14 points from Annegret Nautsch and 12 from Sarah Cotner in a 68-50 win over Macalester Saturday.

The Cardinals snapped their season-high five-game losing streak with Saturday's 73-59 victory over Augsburg. … Jessica Weisbrod (Rollingstone, Minn.) recorded the first double-double of the season and the third of her career, scoring 12 points and adding a career-high 15 rebounds vs. Carleton last Wednesday. The SMU junior then followed that up with her fourth career double-double, netting 18 points and adding 12 boards in SMU's streak-snapping win over Augsburg. … It was the third straight double-figure scoring performance for Weisbrod, who had netted a career-best 20 points in Monday’s loss to St. Catherine. … Stephanie Ayers (Deer River, Minn.) netted a career-best 16 points in SMU’s loss to the Knights. … SMU’s 63-53 loss to Carleton was the Cardinals’ 11th straight vs. the Knights. … SMU has not won a road game since opening the season with a win over Willamette during the Bon Appetite Classic in Portland, Ore. … The Cardinals scored a season-high 73 points in their win vs. Augsburg, eclipsing their previous high of 56, accomplished last Monday vs. St. Catherine … The Cardinals also pulled down a season-best 45 rebounds, five more than the 40 they hauled in on Wednesday vs. Carleton. … After turning the ball over a season-high 39 times last Saturday vs. Gustavus, the Cardinals turned the tables vs. Carleton, amassing a season-low 15 turnovers.
