Augsburg's loss to Saint Benedict Wednesday was the Auggies' 17th straight. Augsburg's last win was a 72-66 victory over St. Olaf on Dec. 6, 2006. … Kristina Lurken and Michaelle Richter each netted 18 points in Wednesday's loss to Saint Benedict. The Cardinals rebounded from a disappointing 91-43 loss to St. Catherine on Monday with an impressive win over Carleton Wednesday, riding the career-high 24-point peformance of Kelly Tanke (La Crosse, Wis.) to a 57-51 victory over the Knights. … Augsburg, meanwhile, saw Saint Benedict use a 29-6 run late in the first half en route to a 69-53 win over the Auggies Wednesday.

Kelly Tanke (La Crosse, Wis.) netted a career-high 24 points in SMU's win over Carleton Wednesday. … The Cardinals' win vs. the Knights snapped a six-game losing streak, and well as a 10-game slide vs. Carleton. …  Tanke's 24 points also marked the 18th time in SMU's 22 games that she or Jessica Weisbrod (Rollingstone, Minn.) has led the team in scoring. … The Knights held Weisbrod, SMU's scoring leader, to seven points, snapped the Cardinal junior's streak of eight straight games scoring in double figures. It was also just the second time in SMU's last 13 games that Weisbrod has not scored 10 or more points. … St. Catherine’s 91 points scored last Monday were the most allowed by SMU this season and the most scored since Concordia poured in 92 in a 92-53 victory over Saint Mary’s on Jan. 15, 2000. …  The Cardinals, who were held to 12 second-half points vs. the Gusties last Saturday — their lowest offensive output of the season — managed just 19 first-half points vs. St. Catherine on Monday.
