Carleton beat SMU all three times the teams squared off last season, winning 57-42 and 62-48 during the two regular-season meetings, then knocking off the Cardinals 67-51 in the second round of the MIAC playoffs. … The Cardinals’ saw their season-high losing streak climb to four, as SMU managed just 16 second-half points in falling to St. Thomas 51-39 Saturday. … Carleton got 26 points and eight rebounds from Megan Vig to beat St. Olaf 70-58 and snap a five-game losing streak on Saturday.
