The Cardinals had little trouble sweeping their MIAC games vs. Bethel a year ago, winning 87-66 and 68-59. … The Cardinals left little doubt in their nonconference game against Coe on Saturday, as SMU jumped out to a 33-6 first-half lead and cruised to a 74-56 victory over the Kohawks. … The Royals bounced back from their first loss of the season an 80-70 setback to St. Benedict on Dec. 7 with a 69-52 victory over Cornell on Dec. 30.
