SMU's Rattunde doubles up on MIAC post-season honors, again

WINONA, Minn. — When it comes to post-season honors, one just isn't enough for Saint Mary's University women's basketball player Jamie Rattunde (Rollingstone, Minn.).

A year ago, Rattunde was named to the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference's All-Freshman and All-Defensive teams.

This year, the Cardinal sophomore doubled up again as she was named First-Team All-MIAC, while also being selected to the All-Defensive team for a second year in a row.

Rattunde, the team's leading scorer and rebounder, appeared in all 18 conference games for the Cardinals, who earned their third striaght MIAC Tournament berth with an 11-11 MIAC mark. SMU was eliminated by St. Thomas 74-59 in tournament play.

The sophomore forward avearged 14.8 points-per-game, ranking her fifth among the league's scoring leaders, while her 8.5 rebounds-per-game were No. 2. Rattunde scored in double figures in 13 of SMU's 18 MIAC games and tallied six double-doubles — including a season-high 20-point, 17-rebound effort in SMU's regular-season finale, a 62-52 win vs. St. Catherine.

Junior Jaimie Lee (Eden Prairie, Minn.) and freshman Ashley Luehmann (Lewiston, Minn.) were honorable-mention All-MIAC selections
