Molli Dant posted 12 kills and 10 digs, but it was not nearly enough as Macalester cruised to a 3-0 win over the Cardinals in the teams' regular-season meeting a year ago. … The Cardinals have been off since last Wednesday, when they dropped a 3-0 decision to Bethel in the teams’ MIAC opener. … Macalester has also been off since Wednesday, when the Scots came out on the short end of a 3-2 decision to St. Olaf.

She needs 94 to catch Jennifer Hodges (1996-99) for the No. 1 spot. … Sonia Muzikarova was named MIAC Newcomer of the Year and Central Region Freshman of the Year last season and so far this season is averaging 3.7 kills on a .293 hitting percentage. … Andrea Hansen has made the all-tournament team for both Macalester tourneys this season – at Northwestern and Augsburg. In nine matches, Hansen is hitting .384 while averaging 2.6 kills, 1.3 blocks, 0.5 aces and 2.6 digs per game . . .
