Concordia entered Friday’s match against Carleton as one of the league’s hottest teams, having put together a season-opening six-match winning streak, then, following a 3-1 loss to St. Thomas to open the MIAC season on Sept. 14, won five straight before Friday’s loss to Carleton. … Nine of Concordia’s 11 wins have been by 3-0 decisions. … The Cobbers won their home Concordia Invitational for the second straight year last weekend. In a span of four matches, the Cobbers lost only one game and finished with a perfect 4-0 tournament record.
