Lisa Engdahl (North Branch, Minn.) picked up 10 kills to lead the Cardinals’ attack vs. Winona State. … Engdahl’s 25 kills vs. the University of Dubugue in the final match of last weekend’s MIAC-IIAC Border Battle were not her season high, but also the most kills by a Cardinal this season. … Carolyn Kiefer (New London, Wis.), who dished out 209 assists at the Border Battle, was named MIAC Co-Setter of the Week. … Kiefer’s 59 assists vs. Dubuque on Saturday are the most in a four-game match this season, while her 40 vs. Luther the night before are the most in a three-game match … After putting together a season-high three-match winning streak with victories in their first three matches of the Border Battle, the Cardinals have now lost two straight. … Engdahl leads the team in kills with 291 a career high. … Megan Roesler (St. Paul, Minn.) pushed her team-leading service ace total to 33 with a pair of aces vs. Winona State Monday. … The Cardinals have lost Game 1 in 17 of their 21 matches.

Augsburg is coming off a 2-2 performance at the UW-Superior Classic last weekend, in which the Auggies cruised to a pair of 3-1 win over MIAC rivals Hamline and St. Catherine, while also dropping back-to-back matches against host UW-Superior. … Linnea Evans and Billie Painschab earned all-tournament honors at the UW-S Classic. Evans compiled 26 kills, 62 assists, 18 digs and nine blocks, while Painschab had 26 kills and eight blocks. … Evans enters tonight’s match as the Auggies’ leader in kills with 153, while Katie LaGrave and Painschab are accumulated 138 and 132 kills, respectively. … Augsburg enter tonight having won three of its five matches. Last Wednesday, Augsburg broke an 11-match losing streak with a three-game home sweep of St. Catherine (30-26, 30-26, 31-29).
