MOORHEAD, Minn. The Saint Mary's University volleyball team entered Saturday's match against Concordia a battle of Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference unbeatens riding a five-match winning streak, including an impressive 3-2 win over previously undefeated St. Benedict on Friday.
Concordia, however, wasn't impressed.
In fact, what was impressive, was the Cobbers' performance, as they routed SMU 3-0, 30-14, 30-23, 30-19 to remain the lone unbeaten in the MIAC.
Ashley Dingels (Gibbon, Minn.) led the Cardinals' offense, recording nine kills, while Megan Roesler (St. Paul, Minn.) finished with six. Tessa Stranik (Eatonville, Wash.) dished out 27 assists, while Kirstan Rouzer (Comstock, Wis.) tallied a team-leading 19 digs.
SMU (3-1 MIAC, 12-3 overall) returns to action on Wednesday, playing host to St. Thomas at 7:30 p.m.
