WINONA, Minn. — Amanda Weinmann (Rochester, Minn.) picked up a pair of first-place finishes at the UW-Stout Invitational last Saturday.

And Tuesday, the Saint Mary's University senior picked up Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Field Athletic of the Week honor.

Weinmann, who had already provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships in both the shot put and weight throw, dominated the two events at the UW-Stout Invitational, winning the shot put with a throw of 13,15 meters and the weight throw with a toss of 15.21 meters.

Both of Weinmann's efforts last Saturday's were provisional qualifying marks, but neither came close to her season-bests of 13.46 in the shot and 15.97 in the weight throw. Weinmann currently ranks No. 6 in NCAA Division III in the shot put and eighth in the weight throw.
