Megan Bids Farewell
These last four years of doing track at Saint Mary’s University have been memorable for many different reasons. Doing athletics in college is a huge transition from high school — the accomplishments are more memorable, the relationships among team members are more intimate and saying goodbye to it all is 10 times harder. There are many memories left behind from the Saint Mary’s track team.

First, a special thanks to my family. They have been the biggest support anyone could ask for — hauling five children and a grandchild to meets is not an easy task and somehow they’ve gotten through it smiling. My family has sat through rain, snow and sun for 10 years of track. So thank you to Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, Jesse, Emily, Janna, Jacob, Baily and Maddy.

Another huge thank you goes out to the coaches. They work round the clock and don’t get the credit they deserve. They are there for the good and the bad with advice and encouragement. They mean the world to me and I don’t know what I will do without my therapy sessions… I mean practice.

Lastly, I want to thank my teammates. Having such a small team and spending so much time together makes the relationships that much better. My best friendships were formed on this team and the memories will last a life time. The best of luck goes out to the graduating seniors and to those we leave behind.
