WINONA, Minn. —  Landing post-season honors for her basketball accomplishments has become old hat for Saint Mary's University's Ashley Luehmann.

Wednesday afternoon, however, Luehmann found herself treading in uncharted post-season waters, as the SMU senior was named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Outstanding Field Athlete after her performance the regular season-ending MIAC Championships.

Luehmann, a three-time All-MIAC women's basketball selection, made the conference championships look as easy as 1-2-3, winning the discus with a toss of 126-3 (38.49 meters), while also finishing second in the javelin with a school-record and NCAA provisional-qualifying mark of 133-5 (40.68m) and third in the shot put with a throw of 42-7 1/2 (12.99m)
