WINONA, Minn. — The good news just keeps coming for the Saint Mary's University women's track and field team.

Sunday night, the Cardinals got the news that the provisional marks of three of their athletes — Ashley Luehmann (Lewiston, Minn.), Amanda Weinmann (Rochester, Minn.) and Megan Mason (Rochester, Minn.) — were good enough to qualify them into the upcoming NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championships.

And on Monday, the news was just as good, as it was announced that SMU was one of just 10 Division III women's indoor teams to earn All-Academic honors from
U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

The Cardinals also dominated individual honors, boasting five athletes — Weinmann, Emily Bartusek (Albert Lea, Minn.), Beth Cleveland (Wausau, Wis.), Autumn Valk (Appleton, Wis.) and Ellen Koranda (Blue Earth, Minn.) — who earned All-Academic individual honors.

To be eligible for the individual all-academic honor, the student-athlete must carry a 3.5 GPA and have made the national-qualifying list. Only Washington (Mo.) University, with seven, boasted more individual all-academic award winners than the Cardinals.
