WINONA, Minn. — Ashley Dingels (Gibbon, Minn.), Jenny Folgers (McHenry, Ill.) and the entire Saint Mary's University women's track and field team were named to the United States Track Coaches Association All-Academic Team, it was announced Tuesday.
Dingels, the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference outdoor heptathlon champion and an NCAA All-American, and Folgers, an NCAA provisional qualifier in the hurdles, were named to the all-academic team as individuals, while the Cardinals women's team was also selected as a group.
Individuals must carry a 3.25 grade-point-average and be at least an NCAA provisional qualifier to be considered for the USTCA's exclusive squad, while a team GPA of 3.10 or higher is required for a team to be considered.
