"We've got a great nucleus of returners and a really solid group of incoming freshmen, so my expectations are high," said Lindquist. "I'd like to see us make a significant jump up the conference ladder."
And the veteran head coach will be relying on captains Kelsey Ibis (Maple Grove, Minn.), Toni Nigrelli (Kiel, Wis.), Maggie Soucheray (Woodbury, Minn.) and Brian Joyce (Chicago, Ill.) to lead the way.
"In a sport like swimming and diving, it's so important to have good leaders," said Lindquist. "And there's no question we have that this year. All four of our captains have dedicated themselves to the Cardinal program over the years, and I'm looking for more of the same from them this season."
