Looking back on my four years here at Saint Mary’s, some of my best memories belong to those had during swimming. From Scott and Sean M. Playing leap frog in the shower, to diving off the board and landing on the backstroke flags. I could go on and on, but I’ll save you all the reading. After swimming for 8 years I can now say that my shoulders don’t work like they used to, that you get used to smelling like chlorine.

I would first like to thank my family, who has always been supportive of whatever I have done. Their constant love has supported me through my entire life. I could not thank people with out acknowledging Coach Lindquist. He has spent many hours of hard work preparing for each season — or he just hunted a lot! Seriously though, his time devoted to us is truly a gift and I thank him for all that he has done. Coach Lester, I also want to thank you for all your time, and wish I would have had the opportunity to get to know you more.

I also would like to thank the members of the men’s team for their support and all the fun times that we have had. Logan, you always pushed me and made sure I was working up to my potential … thank you. Sean, you made sure that all of us knew the hippest language to use. Logan and Sean, your dedication to this team and sport are inspirational and future swimmers will hopefully be led by individuals such as yourselves.

Finally, I want to say thank you to Mr. Brian Travers. In four years, we have learned a lot about each other … some good, some not so good. I hope you enjoyed them as much as I have. Being your roommate was one of my fondest memories of SMU. I thank you for everything and all the times that we shared together. I wish you the best of luck with your future endeavors.

I would also like to thank the rest of the team for their support, and hard work. I would like to highlight three in particular. These ladies are Jen, and my distance buddies Abby and Heidi. It has been a fun four years and I will miss you all and good luck in the future. Tori, Toni, Alex, Maggie, Bethany, Louise, Becca, and Lindsay keep SMU swimming growing, and most of all have fun, because I did!
