The Cardinals completed their rain-delayed sweep of Augsburg Tuesday, scoring three times in the top of the seventh inning to beat the pesky Auggies, 4-1. … Macalester, meanwhile, snapped a four-game losing streak with a 14-0, nonconference victory over Crown on Monday.

Just four days after throwing a pair of back-to-back shutouts against Concordia — allowing just a combined five hits, while striking out 29 — SMU's hurlers were at it again against Macalester, as the Cardinals posted their third and fourth straight shutouts, blanking the Scots 4-0 and 5-0 in their MIAC DH a year ago. … The Cardinals have won 19 of the last 20 meetings vs. Macalester — including the last four by shutout.
