HOW THEY GOT HERE: New York University enters the NCAA semifinals with an overall record of 40-5, 7-5 in the University Athletic Association. … The Violets finished third at the UAA Championship and earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. … The Violets were the top seed in the New York Region, where they received a bye in the first round before defeating Rowan University and Cortland State University in three games each to remain alive in the NCAA Tournament. In the NCAA quarterfinal match, the Violets traveled to Williams College and defeated the Ephs in four games.
