Bob Endemann made eight saves but it wasn't enough as Gustavus scored twice in the first half and once in the second in shutting out SMU 3-0 in their regular-season meeting a year ago. … The Cardinals saw their MIAC record fall to 1-2-0 on Saturday, as Macalester scored goals in the first three minutes of each half en route to a 2-0 win. … Gustavus, meanwhile, battled St. John's to a 2-2 tie in a battle of regionally ranked teams Saturday.
