David Gross (Grasston, Minn.), Adam Gill (Rochester, Minn.) and Jesse Polk (Hastings, Minn.) all scored two goals and Curtis Nosal stopped 37 shots, as SMU opened its MIAC series vs. Concordia with a 7-0 victory. SMU's offense remained in high gear in the rematch, scoring seven goals for the second straight night in a 7-2 win.

Mike Christensen (Detroit Lakes, Minn.) posted his first career two-goal night and SMU erupted for four third-period goals — including two in the final minutes — en route to a 6-3 win over the Cobbers at the SMU Ice Arena.

The Cardinals’ six goals came from five different players, including Adam Gill’s (Rochester, Minn.) team-leading ninth goal of the season in Friday’s win over Concordia. … Gill has now recorded at least one point in 11 of the Cardinals' 16 games. … Mike Christensen (Detroit Lakes, Minn.) posted the first two-goal game of his career vs. Concordia Friday. … Anthony Bohn (Spring Hill, Fla.) picked up a pair of assists vs. the Cobbers Friday, pushing his team lead to 10. Bohn also leads the team with 17 points. … Kevin Eidsmo (Chanhassen, Minn.) and Ben Kenyon (Sparta, Wis.) also had two assists vs. Concordia. It was Kenyon’s first career two-point night. … The Cardinals have now won five straight vs. the Cobbers, dating back to a 3-2 Concordia win on Feb. 14, 2004. … SMU’s six goals vs. Concordia equalled a season high. … Three of the Cardinals’ six goals vs. Concordia came on the power-play. It was the second time this season SMU has netted three power-play goals in a game. … SMU’s 45 shots on goal were second only to the 61 the Cardinals had vs. Northland on Nov. 21. It was also the second straight game — and fourth overall — in which SMU had 40 or more shots on goal.
