Friday’s win was the fifth straight conference win for Gustavus — and the second MIAC shutout for goalie Erik Kraska, who stopped all 25 SMU shots. … The Gusties, who had a seven-game unbeaten streak (6-0-1) snapped with a 5-2 loss last Saturday to UW-Eau Claire, are a perfect 7-0-0 at home, but just 3-3-1 on the road. … GAC is 9-1-1 when scoring first. … Loren Havemeier and Steve Dusich each scored goals vs. Saint Mary’s on Friday, pushing their season point totals to 20 — and giving the Gusties four players with 20 ore more points. … Gustavus also boasts 11 players with at least 10 points. … As a team, GAC has scord 76 goals and added 129 assists for 205 points. … Keith Detlefsen leads the team in assists (15) and shares the team’s point lead (22) with Jon Keseley. … Havemeier and Mike Hosfield are the team’s goal-scoring leaders with 11. … Kraska lowered his GAA to 2.36 with Friday’s shutout.
