Game Notes
Last Night: The Cardinals’ hopes of a second straight MIAC playoff appearance took a serious hit as St. Olaf jumped out to a 3-1 lead and held on down the stretch to beat the Cardinals, 3-2.
Playoff Scenarios: The Cardinlas’ hopes of qualifying for the MIAC playoffs rests on a victory vs. St. Olaf today, and a Gustavus loss vs. Augsburg. If the Gusties beat Augsburg, SMU is automatically eliminated, since GAC holds the head-to-head tiebreaker over SMU with its two wins earlier this season. … With their win Friday night, the Oles locked up a spot in the MIAC post-season. Where they finish, however, it yet to be determined. A St. Olaf win and a Bethel loss will leave the Oles third, while an Oles loss and a Bethel win would put them fourth.
