After being held scoreless in SMU's first four games, Tim McNamara (Hastings, Minn.) scored a goal in both SMU games last weekend's games.
Ryne Ess (Eden Prairie, Minn.), who has started every game in goal for the Cardinals, stopped 66 of the 70 shots he faced - including a 39-save effort in the 3-2 loss to UW-Superior.
John Paul (St. Paul, Minn.), David Gross (Grasston, Minn.), Cullum Buetow-Staples (Arden HIlls, Minn.) Jesse Polk (Hastings, Minn.) and Marcus Reszka (Winona, Minn.) also scored for SMU last weekend.
SMU has scored first in both of its wins this season, while the Cardinals are 0-3-0 in games in which their opponents have scored first.
Saturday's win vs. St. Scholastica not only marked SMU's highest offensive output of the season, but also snapped SMU's two-game losing streak.
Both of the Cardinals' wins have come on the road.
Three of SMU's four losses have been by one goal.
