A Year Ago: The Cardinals locked up their first MIAC post-season tournament appearance since the 1996-97 season with a 4-1 win over the Pipers on Feb. 20, 2004. Hamline bounced back to win the second game, 3-2 the following night.

Mike Bry (Manvel, N.D.) assisted on four of SMU's eight goals vs. the Cobbers, pushing the SMU junior's team-leading assist total to 18 and his point lead to 23.
Adam Fingerhut (Oak Brook, Ill.) netted his team-best ninth and 10th goals in Friday's 4-2 win vs. Concordia.
Marcus Reszka (Winona, Minn.) also scored twice last weekend, while Graham Murphy (St. Louis, Mo.) had a goal and two assists.
Tony Truhler (Stillwater, Minn.) recorded an assist Friday night, giving every one of SMU's regulars at least one point this season.
Ryne Ess (Eden Prairie, Minn.), who has started all 21 games in goal for SMU, stopped 43 of the 47 shots he faced (.915 save %) and lowered his goals-against-average to 3.55.
Friday's win vs. Concordia snapped a season-high four game losing streak.
Fridays win was just the second time in 13 games in which the Cardinals have won when they did not score the games first goal.
