Last Action: The Cardinals erupted for 11 goals including three from Mike Bry in an 11-1 rout of Northland on Nov. 23.
Bethel, meanwhile, also picked up a win vs. Northland in its last game, beating the Lumberjacks 8-2 last Wednesday.

A Year Ago: The Cardinals got scoring from four different players in posting a 4-1 win over the Royals on Jan. 9, 2004. SMU then completed the sweep, scoring three first-period goals and holding off a furioius Bethel rally en route to a 5-4 win.

Mike Bry (Manvel, N.D.) posted a rare double-double against Northland last Tuesday, not only recording his first collegiate hat trick, but also tallying a second "hat trick" with three assists for a team-leading six points vs. the Lumberjacks.
John Paul (St. Paul, Minn.) finished with four assists vs. Northland, while Cullum Buetow-Staples (Arden HIlls, Minn.) scored twice and David Gross (Grasston, Minn.) added a goal and two assists.
The Cardinals' 11 goals vs. Northland marked their highest offensive output since netting 12 in a 12-1 win vs. UW-Eau Claire on Jan. 7, 2000.
SMU has outscored its last two opponents 16-2.
The Cardinals converted on 6 of 11 power-play chances vs. Northland, while SMU also killed off all nine Northland man-advantages.
SMU's powerplay (17-for-59, 28.8%) ranks fifth in all of NCAA Division III, while the Cardinals' penalty-kill (45 of 50, 90%) is No. 7.
Bry and Jesse Polk (Hastings, Minn.) share the team lead in goals with four, while Bry is also the team-leader in assists (8) and points (12).
