Last Night: Augsburgs Steve Belde scored with 32 seconds remaining in regulation as the Auggies rallied to tie SMU 4-4 Friday night in Minneapolis, Minn.

A Year Ago: The Cardinals put an end to a 14-game winless streak (0-13-1) vs. the Auggies, scoring three times in the second period en route to a 3-2 win on Jan. 23, 2004. The Cardinals completed the sweep the following night, as Ryne Ess and Curtis Nosal combined on a 19-save shutout in SMU's 5-0 victory.

- Fridays OT game was the first overtime game of the season for the Cardinals, while the Auggies have been involved in three OT games (0-0-3).
Adam Gill (Rochester, Minn.) tallied a pair of career firsts Friday, notching his first collegiate goal in the second period, then adding his first assist in the third period.
David Gross (Grasston, Minn.) also had a goal and an assist vs. the Auggies, while Chad Damerow (Albert Lea, Minn.) had two assists.
Ryne Ess (Eden Prairie, Minn.) finished with 41 saves in Fridays OT tie.
The Cardinals are now 2-1-1 in their last four games.
The tie extended Augsburgs unbeaten string to five (4-0-1) and the Auggies are 6-1-2 in their last nine games.
