Well, where should I start? The last four years have gone by too fast for my liking, but I have experienced a lot of great things along the way.
First off, I would like to thank the coaching staff for all of their hard work. Coach Nadeau, thank you for all your hard work with us on and off the ice. Coach F, you are a magician with a ripped pair of shoulder pads and an old skate lace. Coach Mannor, you are a true players coach, thank you for all of your efforts to make us work for what we wanted. Coach O, thank you for giving me the opportunity to wear this sweater, and be a part of this great tradition that you have upheld through your tenure here at Saint Marys.
Secondly, I would like to thank all of my teammates, past and present. If it wasnt for the great group of guys that I played with, this experience would not have been what it was. Seniors, we have a big group and we have been together four years thank you for making it the best we could. Throughout the years, if I was having a bad day, I knew that it would change when I went into the locker room, because I knew someone would say something stupid to make me smile. Thanks guys!!
Third, I would like to thank my family. To my Grandma, thank you for all that you have done for me, from helping get here in the first place to wearing your pin on game days, even when you could not be here in person. That really means a lot. To my dad and step-mom, thank you for your never-ending support of me, and all the fun times that we have had on your visits, I love you both. To my mom, thank you for your words of encouragement before every game (Eight to be exact!) Thats a statement that I will carry with me for the rest of my life, I love you.
Lastly, I would like to thank my step-dad, Jeff. Throughout the last 20 years of me playing hockey, all of the road trips, the tryouts, the wins and loses, you have been there giving me support. Your will to see me succeed, is the reason that I kept pushing to be better. Everything that you have done for me is not repayable, but I thank you and love you for it.
Well thats it, and from the words of Stinny, Its a great day to be a Cardinal, and Im out!
