points on six different occasions. … Cobber Anthony Boike leads the MIAC in 3-point field goal percentage in conference games this season. Boike is connecting on 55.6% of his shots from behind the arc. He is coming off
one of his best games of the season as he scored 14 points in the Cobbers' 77-66 loss at Augsburg on Monday. … As a team, Concordia is third in the league in 3-point shooting percentage. The Cobbers are shooting 39.8% from 3-point range in their seven league games this season. Concordia has shot better than 35.0% from outside the arc in their past four games. CC hit a season-best 53.8% from 3-point range in their 63-58 win over third-place Gustavus.

SMU and Concordia split their season series a year ago, with both teams winning on their home floor. Concordia collected a 70-58 win on Dec. 7, while SMU was an 81-60 winner on Jan. 29. … The Cardinals struggled to get out of the starting block vs. Bethel Monday, managing just 24 first-half points in dropping their fifth straight, 71-58. … Concordia, meanwhile, dropped its third in a row, as Jon Cassens scored 15 points leading the Augsburg to a 77-66 victory over the Cobbers Monday.

The Cardinals saw their season-high losing streak climb to five with Monday's loss to Bethel. … SMU's defense held the Royals to 71 points, the third-lowest offensive output by a Cardinal opponent. … Eric Lear (Antioch, Ill.) netted a season-high 15 points in Monday's losing effort. … Monday's 58-point effort marked the sixth time in 13 games that SMU was held under 60 points. … Dan Cormier (Blaine, Minn.) and Brensley Haywood (Joliet, Ill.) lead the Cardinals in scoring, averaging 13.2 and 12.8 ppg, respectively. … Cormier is also shooting a team-leading 70 percent (28-for-40) from the free-throw line, while Haywood boasts team-bests in assists (52) and steals (19). … Haywood is the only player on the Cardinal roster to start all 13 games. Haywood has now started 40 straight games, dating back to Feb. 12, 2005. … The Cardinals, who travel to Moorhead, Minn., tonight, saw their road record dip to 1-5 with last Wednesday's loss at Carleton. The Cardinals, who snapped a 15-game road losing streak with their 89-87 win at Hamline on Dec. 6, 2006, have won just twice on the road in their last 26 games. …Monday's loss to Bethel was just the second time in the last nine games that Cormier or Haywood did not lead the Cardinals in scoring.
