SMU coach Mike Trewick is still looking for his first win vs. his former team, thanks to the Johnnies’ two wins over the Cardinals a year ago. SJU won the first game 83-71 then completed the sweep with a 59-56 win. …The Cardinals experienced their worst offensive night of the season, scoring just 16 first-half points and shooting 34 percent from the field in falling to Gustavus 78-42 Wednesday. … The Johnnies’ offense struggled as well in their MIAC game Wednesday, managing just 41 points in an 82-41 loss to St. Thomas.
