It’s hard to believe that Senior Day has come so quickly. Every year goes by so fast, some faster than others, but time still seems to fly. It’s been a great journey since those first days here at Saint Mary’s. It’s been a journey that has seen its highs and lows, but in the end it’s not about wins and loses. It’s about the memories and friendships you make along the way and playing basketball has given me memories that I will be able to share for a long time. I owe thanks to a lot of people who have helped me achieve great things in my basketball career. Without these people many of my basketball accomplishments would have been difficult if not impossible to achieve.

First of all, I would like to thank my parents, who like myself, have experienced both the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. They have been there with me every step of the way. I thank you for all of your support, your patience, and most importantly, your time. Without you I would not have accomplished the things I have. Every great moment I have had in my career, I have been lucky enough to share with you. You are my #1 fans. Thank you, Mom and Dad.

I also need to thank my teammates and coaches from both the past and the present. There is nothing that I will miss more from the game of basketball then the camaraderie that you feel when you are part of a team. I look forward to watching the younger guys take the court next year and establish what Saint Mary’s University basketball is all about. Good luck to you guys in the future not only with your basketball careers but with whatever you decide in life.

Finally, I would like to thank the Saint Mary’s University community and fans. Your support has been gracious. I would like to give special thanks to the parents and family members who travel hours to come and watch a game. Your support is truly appreciated. I would also like to thank the row of parents and the row of girlfriends of team members that supported us at home you did not go unnoticed. And of course, I will never forget the rambunctious first-half crowds that never let us down.

It’s now time for the youth movement to jump in the ice bath and be nails!!!
