Looking back at the past four years of basketball, I have experienced a great deal of memories. These memories and experiences have helped me grow and shape myself into the individual that I am today. Our record over the past four years may not reflect what we had hoped or planned for when we came in as freshmen, but in the end I will look back at all the great times we had together. Playing basketball at Saint Marys has given me the opportunity to meet a lot of people that I will miss dearly next year.
To begin, I would like to thank all of my coaches for giving me the support throughout my career and pushing me on and off the floor to become not only a good basketball player, but also a well-rounded person. I greatly appreciate everything you have done for me. To my past teammates, I want to thank you for the friendships that I have made with all of you and the values you have instilled on everyone in the program. To my present teammates, I want to thank you for all the hard work you have put in this year. It may not be a success when we look at the wins and losses, but getting to know all of you and developing the friendships that we have, is a success of its own. I wish you luck next year and in the future with basketball. Keep on working hard, but remember to have fun and make the best of your college experience.
As for my fellow seniors, it is hard to believe that our basketball careers are coming to an end. It seems like just yesterday that we were moving into Vlazny. Now the days of shaving our heads and piercing our ears are long gone. Wilty, Tricky and Lance, I just want you to know that I am very proud of you and all that you have accomplished, both as players and as people. We have been through many ups and downs together, but when we walk off that floor for the last time, I will know that I have made three of the best friends anyone could ask for. And as for you Wilty, I know I could not have made it through everything without you. You truly are my universal best friend. Thanks for always being there, I love you buddy.
I would also like to thank my family for all the love and support they have given me, not only in these past four years, but my entire life. Mom, Dad and Hannah, I would never be where I am today if it were not for you. Mom and Dad, you have given me the opportunity to live out all my hopes and dreams. You have been there for me through my successes and struggles. Thank you for always caring and being there when I needed you the most. I love you all so much.
Finally, I just want to thank all of my friends outside of basketball. I appreciate all the support you have given us these past four years, it means a great deal to me. As for you, Drago, thanks for always listening to me when it came to basketball. Although you did not have the opportunity to live out the experiences with us, as far as I am concerned, you will always be part of the team.
Thank you again to those who have made these past four years the most memorable years of my life.
