Cardinals' Andrea Hanke named MIAC Golfer of the Week

WINONA, Minn. — It was a record-setting week for Saint Mary's University golfer Andrea Hanke (Janesville, Wis.).

And her efforts did not go unnoticed, as the SMU junior was named Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week, it was announced Tuesday.

Hanke fired a school-record, two-over par 74 to earn individual medalist honors at the Luther Invitational on Sept. 20. Hanke's total also helped the Cardinals set an 18-hole school record of 348, placing SMU third overall.

Hanke followed up that record-setting performance by finishing 11th at the UW-Whitewater Invitational this past weekend, shooting rounds of 83 and 82 to fuel the Cardinals to a school-record 36-hole total of 726 and an eighth-place finish in the 18-team field.
