DECORAH, Iowa — Ellen Berndt (Rice Lake, Wis.) fired an 87 to lead the Saint Mary's University women's golf team to a 10th-place finish at the Luther Invitational Saturday afternoon.

The Cardinals, coming off a school-record, two-day score of 735 in last weekend's Gustavus Invitational, struggled to repeat that performance in the 18-hole Luther Invite.

Along with Berndt's 87, the Cardinals got 97s from Kristi Pugal (Brookfield, Wis.) and Emily Nordstrom (Mendota Heights, Minn.), a 98 from Kris Klimmek (Jordan, Minn.), a 106 from Anne Moe (Rogers, Minn.) and a 108 from Katie Omdahl (Algona, Iowa).
