He has been a our No. 1 offensive threat, as was evident by his 5-for-5 performance in our doubleheader against St. Thomas last Saturday. He also gives us some much-needed depth in our pitching staff, and his knuckleball has given more than a few batters fits.”




Game Notes
The Cardinals scored six runs in the third inning and three more in the fourth en route to a 10-8 Game 1 win over Macalester in the teams’ MIAC doubleheader a year ago. The Scots game back to win Game 2, scoring in every inning but the fourth and seventh en route to a 13-5 triumph. … The Cardinals, fresh off a streak-snapping nonconference sweep over Luther last Thursday, could not keep pace with league-leading St. Thomas on Saturday, as UST handed SMU 7-1 and 5-4 setbacks. … Macalester, meanwhile, erupted for 11 runs for the second straight game Monday, as the Scots routed Northwestern 11-4.
