Mike Merrill went 6-for-10 in the twinbill with the Tommies, and in Game 2 had two singles, a double and a triple, and stole second in the 10th inning to move into scoring position. … John Simkins is 14-for-29 on the season for a .483
average. … Coach Matt Parrington is in his sixth season at Macalester.
