The Cardinals' Game 2 come-from-behind win vs. Luther marked the third time in SMU's nine games that they have rallied from a deficit of more than three runs to win.
SMU's six-run sixth inning was a season-high for runs in a single inning and marked the seventh time in nine games the Cardinals have scored three or more runs in an inning.
SMU's Game 1 loss to the Norse snapped the Cardinals' three-game winning streak.
Luther's 13 runs and 15 hits in Sunday's first game were the most allowed by SMU this season.
Brady Knudsen (Racine, Wis.), Kevin Black (Mahtomedi, Minn.) and Ryan Majerus (St. Charles, Minn.) all had three hits in SMU's doubleheader split vs. Luther.
Knudsen and Majerus have each collected two or more hits in four of SMU's nine games.
Matt Rink (Rochester, Minn.) belted his team-leading second home run of the season - a three-run shot in the top of the first inning of Game 1 on Sunday - and drove in four runs in the two games.
Rink leads the team in virtually every offensive category - BA (.406), hits (13), triples (1), HR (2), RBIs (13), total bases (22) and slugging % (.688) - and has now driven in two or more runs in four of SMU's nine games.

Gustavus Game Notes
|
Fueled by the no-hit pitching of Josh Spitzak, the Gusties snapped a season-high three-game losing streak with their Game 1 win last Saturday.

GAC has now won two in a row for the third time, and the Gusties enter todays game looking for its first three-game winning streak of the season.
Todays DH is the second straight MIAC road doubleheader for GAC, which has yet to play a game on its home field having opened with four games (2 vs. Loras and 2 vs. UW-Oshkosh) in the Metrodome, then going 4-6 during its 10-game stay in Clearwater, Fla.
Tony Konicek leads the team in average (.464), doubles (4) and triples (1), while Travis Gunderson is the team-leader in RBIs (13).

Nine of the Gusties 16 games have been decided by a five-run or greater margin (GAC is 5-4 in those games).
