The past four years at Saint Mary’s have given me the opportunity to grow as a man and as a baseball player. Here are the people that have influenced me and helped me along the way.

First and foremost are my parents. You two have been the best parents a child could ask for. Going to ALL of my games, the opportunity to attend a private high school and college to pursue my Catholic religion, and for giving me the shelter, food, and protection. Thanks for everything you have done for our house and the other baseball players. It is truly appreciated. Mom, thanks for listening to me about my problems and giving me the advice I need. Dad, thanks for all of the gifts and teachings you gave me growing up and still today. You two better remember this when I am living with you in about 5 years, and you want to kick me out of the house!!!

To my brother, Scott, and my sisters, Stephanie and Sarah. Thanks for allowing Mom and Dad to love me the most!!! Scott: Thanks for letting me be your bat-boy growing up and looking up to and admiring you (until I got bigger than you and could beat you up). Sarah: Thanks for allowing me to sleep in your room when there was a storm!!! I would have never survived. Stephanie: Thanks for singing all of the time for our games and showing us a good time in La Crosse. You have a great voice and one day it will be better than mine.

To the coaches: Coach Whaley, thanks for allowing me to be a part of this program. I have worked my hardest to never disappoint you and you have taught me many things about being a man on the field, but most importantly, off of the field. Benji, thanks for always being there to crack a joke to. Brother Mollner, thanks for putting up with me for the last three years. I know they have been the best three years of your life!!!

To the roommates: Aric, you have been my best friend here since that day in Griffin when we went bowling. You have taught me a lot about not being spoiled. Ryan, I know I always joke around with you but you are a great kid with a great future ahead of you, too bad you won’t have any hair to go with that future. Juice, I don’t know how you went two years without buying anything and using all of my things, but you did. I will always remember our late-night talks, and our late-night eating sprees!!! Rob, you are the most talented kid I have ever seen play baseball and it is a joy to watch you. Tony, thanks for always being the guy on the railing with me. We have a lot of jokes left with each other, that is if you ever show up!!! We have a lot of hearts to break.

To the other guys: Shrek Beldar, what are we always talking about in the language??? Danny, thanks for showing me the meaning of “Yard.” Leech, thanks for always losing to me in video games. Coz, you and me are the unluckiest people in the world, but we are still battling. Rink, thanks for losing to me in all of those wrestling matches. Jake, thanks for being my catching partner for three years and you still owe me some things for always overthrowing me.

To the rest of the people that I have missed, thanks!!! All right, that is enough, and now I am off to the real world. Um … maybe not!!!
